At Socotex, our business is all about creating shade… But today, we’re here to put the company in the spotlight.
It was with these meaningful words that Déborah Peyrucq opened the inauguration of the new Socotex factory in Honfleur on 12 and 13 March 2026.
A powerful, emotional moment that marks a turning point in the history of this family-run business with its renowned expertise.
A new chapter after more than 50 years of history
Since its creation in 1972, Socotex has built itself around a craft, technical excellence and, above all, a collective spirit. With this new factory, the company is taking a decisive step forward: that of a modernised industrial facility, designed to support its growth and meet the challenges of tomorrow.
As Déborah Peyrucq noted in her speech: “Today marks a new era in a history built on expertise, a passion for our craft… but above all thanks to the women and men who have brought this adventure to life.”
A transformative project to better serve our customers
This new site is not merely a change of location. It represents a fundamental transformation.
The result of several years of careful planning, this factory enables us to:
optimise production flows
increase production capacity
improve operational efficiency
better control costs
With a clear objective: to serve customers better, faster and more efficiently, whilst retaining Socotex’s bespoke DNA.
“It’s not simply a matter of producing more… but of producing better.”
Fabric as the common thread
One of the distinctive features of this new website lies in its design: a completely open space, with no barriers between activities. A strategic and symbolic choice.
For at Socotex, all our trades are linked by a central element: FABRIC, at the heart of every product.
This structure facilitates smoother communication, enhances consistency and enables us to prepare for the future with a comprehensive vision of our expertise.

A forward-looking… and responsible site
Beyond industrial performance, this new factory also embodies Socotex’s commitments.
The building has been designed to be:
more environmentally friendly
part of a business park committed to CSR
equipped to reduce its impact (energy, resources, transport)
But the ambition goes further.
Socotex is also opening its doors to industrial tourism, with the aim of:
introducing people to its trades
showcasing its expertise
inspiring young people to pursue careers in the textile and manufacturing sectors
A consistent commitment for a company with EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) status, deeply rooted in Honfleur.
A space designed for partners
This new site is also a place for discussion and collaboration.
An application showroom has been designed to:
train partner teams
support product installation and sales
showcase the full range of products
A flexible, adaptable space, designed to be a genuine training tool.
Growing together: a shared ambition
A highlight of the launch event was the launch of the Socotex Alliance Pro programme.
An initiative dedicated to partners, designed to structure and strengthen collaborations through:
technical and sales training
extended warranties to encourage partners to offer maintenance contracts to their customers
greater visibility
development opportunities through the provision of qualified leads
“Our ambition is simple: to grow together.”
A collective project above all
Beyond the facilities and the figures, this inauguration was, above all, a human moment.
Déborah Peyrucq was keen to thank:
the teams, for their commitment during the move
the partners, for their trust
the institutions and funders, for their support
everyone who helped make this project a reality
“Your trust, your commitment and your loyalty are Socotex’s true strength.”

A new chapter
With this new factory at 845 Avenue des Impressionnistes in Honfleur,
Socotex is not simply turning a page: it is opening a new chapter.
A chapter focused on the future, innovation and passing on our heritage… yet always true to our roots.
A project designed to help us continue to grow together and shape the world of tomorrow.
